Board Repair Service info. |
| 1: Board repairs are limited to those
used in Williams System 3-7 pinball machines. This includes the CPU board,
Driver Board, power supply, sound and/or speech boards. I do NOT do repairs on
any Bally, Stern, Gottleib or other manufacturer boards, nor do I repair video
arcade boards. Currently I am not accepting display boards. |
| 2: Before sending me any board to repair, I request
that you e-mail me photos first.... front and back. This is more to save YOU
the expense of shipping the board here if I consider it to be unrepairable, and
it also will help me to give you a better estimate of what the cost will be, as
well a help me to make sure I have the parts on hand before the board gets
here. Seriously, it may sound like a pain in the butt, but it will make things
easier for both of us. |
| 3: What's an unrepairable board? Boards that may not be repairable are
ones with significant corrosion, or too many missing components, or significant burn
damage. If it's got previous repairs of dubious quality, it all depends on what it
looks like. I'll generally attempt to repair hackjob previous work, but there is
no guarantee if it can be repaired and may require extra labor charges. |
| 5: I accept system 3 and 4 boards for repair, but be
aware that some parts are very tough to find, which can drive up the cost/time
it takes to repair. |
| 6: Warranty ends 30 days from when it
arrives back to you, or if you do ANY work to it yourself. Trust me, I'll spot
it, you'll be surprised what kind of records I keep..... I've done electronics
customer service and retail sales my whole life, I know all your tricks. |
| 7: I will burn new ROM's only for a board that I have
in my hands for repair. Sorry, I won't sell burned chips on their own. |
So, if this all works OK for you, drop
me an e-mail to figure out how I can help you.
