Good old Tamiya, great subject matter and great quality.  This is their 1/72nd scale F4D-1 Skyray,  painted in markings of VF-13 on the USS Essex in 1958.   Most of the lettering decals were custom made for this build,  and all of the striping on the tail and wings were masked and painted.
This was a quickie OOB build of the recent Trumpeter English Electric Lightning F.2A.
Not a perfect build, and I'm sure you can spot my decal errors. But sometimes you just need to build for fun, not worry so much, and put it on the shelf. I plan on doing another one of these eventually, with the over-wing fuel tanks.
Now for some timy-scale work. Eduard makes this excellent little 1:72 kit of the Nieuport 17. Includes the photo-etch and builds up very nicely. Rigging is from 2lb monofiliment line, which I am not that happy with, and trying other materials in other builds.
Another excellent Tamiya kit, the original release of the Swordfish MkI. I had never seen the pre-war scheme done before, everybody else seemed to have done the Bismark or other camo schemes in their builds. Well, I like being different, so here is the silver/grey scheme also offered in the box. Great kit, annoying photo-etch.
This kit is actually a few years old of a build, but I had never managed to photograph it. It's another Accurate Miniatures kit of the F3F-2 in the always lovely pre-war US Navy scheme. The golden wings just always have had a draw for me, this particular set of markings is for the Squadron Commander of "Fighting 6" on the USS Enterprise.
I just love those Accurate Miniatures kits! Yak-1b, straight from the box. Just a basic build for myself, nothing special or any real weathering at all.
Another OOB build of Hasegawa's A-3B "Skywarrior". Fairly big for a 1:72nd carrier plane. Fun little kit, I just built it for the fun factor. A few flubs here and there, but it's for my own shelf so I don't mind. Still looks great to me. I also have replaced the original set of photos with some new ones. I hope you like the new look.
Accurate Minatures F6B 1:48 straight OOB.
An older build of mine, long since sold off.  Was a fun project, and if you can find the kit, it's a great little build as were all of the Accurate Miniatures lineup that I've done.
